How would you like to be part of an amazing theatre project happening in Callan this summer?
As part of Kilkenny Arts Festival, Callan will be presenting an epic street-theatre adaptation of The Big Chapel by Callan’s own Booker nominated writer, Thomas Kilroy.
Remember Bridge Street Will Be in 2015? We’re at it again and this time we’re going to make a play from fictional novel based on a true Callan story and using the WHOLE TOWN as our stage. It’s The Big Chapel by Thomas Kilroy (who grew up in Callan in the 1950’s). This time, Asylum Productions are working with the Kilkenny Arts Festival, the National Theatre of Ireland, and you. We’re looking for actors, singers, shakers and movers to be part of this unique production.
Principle speaking roles
The Riot Squad - our crack commando team of extra-special extras
The Voice Squad - our very own Callan Community Choir
We’re also recruiting a small army of community volunteers to help with costume, props and traffic management for this amazing national event. So come along if you want to sign up, or just to learn more about the project. If you have any questions, or if you can’t make it on the day but still want to be involved, please contact us on 087 6442943 or firstname.lastname@example.org
